ESOTRAC researchers hosted a well-attended special session on “Early detection of esophageal cancer with advances in photonic imaging” on March 22nd 2018 during this year’s EMIM conference.
Vasilis Ntziachristos, coordinator of ESOTRAC, Wolfgang Drexler, ESOTRAC’s OCT specialist and Wouter Nagengast, a long-standing clinical collaborator and expert in esophageal cancer took the audience through a multidisciplinary journey through endoscopic imaging of esophageal cancer.
The topic was well received and the scientific discussions continued long after the session’s official end. Raising awareness for esophageal cancer and at the same time presenting solutions to the pressing questions in terms of early detection of this disease concluded a successful afternoon for the ESOTRAC consortium.
